Regional Meeting
The Region V Meeting was held on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Hialeah Middle School and was by all accounts a resounding success with training sessions centering on an aerospace technology theme.
The meeting began with updates from Jeff Lintz, Region V FTEA President and Tom Cummings, Instructional Supervisor, Technology Education, Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Joe Kaplan (Pitsco) led a session on Stratoblaster rockets followed by a presentation from James Thompson (Hialeah Senior High) on the making of fiberglass skim boards and surfboards. John Harrison (Palm Springs Middle School) presented the Delta Dart and the Flip Glider that were very informative and full of resources for teacher use.
