Awards & Grants

The Florida Technology Education Association (FTEA) strives to recognize outstanding achievements of our technology education professionals across the state through partnerships with affiliate organizations.  Please consider nominating yourself or one of your colleagues to be recognized for their achievements.  The following awards and grants are available.  Please visit the links for specific eligibility requirements and deadlines for applications/nominations.  This is a perfect opportunity to gain recognition for our field’s valuable contributions to education.

Florida Technology Education Association Awards

Santo Randazzo:
Given annually to a teacher in the area of exceptional education.  This individual has that special ability to motivate students to show pride in their work as well as a well-rounded philosophy in Technology Education that enables the enhancement of learning experiences.  The teacher uses ingenuity in the organization of curriculum to accomplish the objectives of exceptional education.

Outstanding Service:
Recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to our profession outside of the classroom.  This individual promotes the goals of the association through involvement and dedication related to improving the education of today’s youth.  This recipient has provided a leadership role at the local, state, or national level in the improvement of our profession.

Frank Zeitler Memorial Grant:
The purpose of this award is to promote professional growth and leadership activities for individuals in Technology Education. These activities may include standards-based curricular activities, professional development, formal academic courses or other activities judged to be of significant value to the profession.
